I saw this photo on Guardian Eyewitness. It looked like a scene from a mystical movie, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter come to mind…fantasy. The reality that it is a blazing structure in “common place” Ohio, in the midst of this vortex of cold dampens the beauty just a bit. I imagine it is loud and busy there; the photographer can probably smell the scent of various burning materials as they populate the photo with the unifying grey opacity. Still, the architectural shapes stretched neatly in a wedge across the picture plane–great find for today’s photo review demo.
